Presented by Handmade Detroit and now in its 18th year, this craft show held at the Masonic Temple features over 100 vendors, a DJ, crafts for all ages, and more. Admission is $5 on Saturday and $3 on Sunday; children 12 and under are free! Come check out the best handmade goods the Midwest has to offer; full 2023 maker list available here. TOLEDO LIBRARY: Super Fun Jewelry-Making Classes with Vod’s Here & Avert
2023: LITTLE BLOOMS Embroidered Jewelry
During the summer of 2023 Lindsay of Avert Adornments & Vod of Vod’s Here teamed up for ten summer jewelry making sessions at ten different branches of the Toledo Lucas County Library.
Attendees learned both fiber art and jewelry techniques in the process, and made one necklace, one brooch, or a single pair of earrings in the process. Embroidery samples for students to work from were across summery motifs, with flowers and sunny shapes offered alongside bright beads. Students left their Library not only with new skills, but a finished, handmade jewelry piece to show off!

2022: TROPICAL POMS Pom Pom Jewelry
During the summer of 2022, Lindsay of Avert Adornments and Vod of Vod’s Here teamed up to present a fiber art & jewelry mashup workshop at ten different Toledo Library branches.
Using tropical hues of yarn & beads, students were invited to create either a pair of pom pom earrings or a pom necklace. All supplies for the craft were provided, making space for students’ imaginations to run wild!
